Daddy's Hat

I love wearing my Daddy's hat.

Boating Baby

Boating season is officially open at the Hoglund House. I had my very first boat ride this past weekend. My Daddy took me to Morris Island. He was really excited when my Momma put my Clemson bathing suit on from Grandma. He said "That's my girl!" At Morris Island I got to put my feet in the Atlantic Ocean for the very first time! The water was really chilly but I was having fun splashing my feet as I was walking in the water with my Daddy. While we were at Morris Island I learning about drinking. Drinking my bottle, not beer, on the boat is the same as drinking at home except you have to lay under a make shift tent to protect you from the sun. This also applies to taking a nap. Even though we were out on the boat I had to take a nap. I tried my hardest to stay up as long as I could but sometimes I don't always win the fight.

Spring Breakers Come to Charleston

I finally got to meet the some of the Priore family - Aunt Christi Lynn, Anthony, Patrick and Stephen . They decided to spend Spring Break in Charleston with me. I made sure to show them all of my favorite places like the Battery and the Market. I told them how to get to Folly Beach and Magnolia Garden Plantation. I made sure that Stephen got to go to Fort Sumter since he knows everything there is to know about the history of wars. I also advised them to take a trip down the road to Savannah, GA to see where my Papa JJ used to live when he was a little boy.

I practiced some of the tricks that I don't get to do all the time on my Momma and Daddy but I can pull over on everyone else because they don't know my fast moves.

Isabella as the Easter Bunny

Look out Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Lindsey Lohan, Demi Moore, Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Anniston, shall I continue or do you get the picture? Here comes Isabella Hoglund. The paparazzi captures Isabella coming down the stairs of Grandma and Grandpa's house with Easter Bunny ears on. At first she was shy but then she decided it would be best to work with the cameras so she would have good pictures in People and US Weekly. As she sat on the floor with Momma and Daddy, Grandpa Ray and Aunt Michelle screaming her name Isabella worked with each member of the paparazzi to make sure the pictures in this weeks additions of People and US Weekly are in her favor.

The paparazzi was disappointed then my Momma decided it was time for me to go to bed. It was later than I am normally allowed to stay up but since it was a special occasion. I was given special permission to stay up late. However just because I stay up late does not mean I should get up early. Momma says late to be mean late to wake up in the morning not late to bed early to wake up in the morning. I woke up at 4:30AM on Easter morning in hopes of seeing the real Easter Bunny hopping around.

My Momma and Daddy were not to happy with me to hear me playing loudly at 4:30. I wanted them to get up too so I could play with my Easter candy and treats from the Easter bunny. Unfortunately I was not allowed to play with my Easter goodies until after we went to Easter Mass which I slept though. Thank goodness my Momma and Daddy said. They said lots of prayers that I would fall asleep through mass because of my crankiness. After mass I was a new person and I was as happy as can be. I think it is because the priest gave me a special blessing not because of the nap.

The Art of Cookie Eating

I finally got to have some real dessert after dinner that did not consist of what my Momma calls fruit "ice-cream". I have been waiting for my chance to get a cookie after dinner for weeks. Now I like to have one everyday but my Momma and Daddy won't let me. They say it is a special treat. I think it is becuase I have to go straight from the high chair to the bathtub after eating a cookie. Eating a cookie can be tricky especially when you need something to drink but both of your hands are on the cookie. I think the most effective way to solve that problem is to look at my cup and scream. However Momma does not allow that. She just laughs at me. If you drop your cookie in your high chair, that gives you free hands to get your cup. When you drop your cookie and you can't get to it, Momma or Daddy have to get it for you. So Momma would have been better off helping me get my cup instead of laughing at me.
When you have had enough of your cookie it is best to just put it down. This is the best way that I let Momma and Daddy know that I am done. Now it is off to the bathtub.

St. Patrick's Day Visitors

For St. Patricks Day Aunt Michelle and Uncle Justin came to visit me. We got to hang out and play with all of my toys which was alot of fun. Uncle Justin taught me how to do the moon walk, while Aunt Michelle taught me how to make 'gangster' symbols with my hoody.
Aunt Michelle was really having fun when we were playing with my monkey. We had fun but it was too short of a visit. Maybe next time it will be longer.

Happenings at Home

I have been doing alot of new things like sitting up and scooting around the house. I am learning that if I stretch out and use my exersaucer as a 'stool' I can reach things out of my reach like my cell phone.
It is official Bailey is getting used to having me around after 7 months. He is showing interest in me. He gets close enough to me that I can almost reach him but he is never quite close enough for me to get my hands on him. He does let me go for Wiener Dog Rides when he is resting on Daddy's belly and that is alot of fun since he doesn't try to move like Abbi.

Bailey is still not ready for giving me kisses or love as my Momma and Daddy call it but Abbi does. I really like playing with Abbi. She even lets me pull on her ears now. She doesn't like it when I play with her feet but we are working on that.

Restaurant Highchairs

Mr. Paul aka Pablo and Mrs. Leslie came to visit us for my Daddy's birthday. When they were here we went out to eat and I had to sit in a restaurant highchair. This was not an easy task as the highchair was way to big for me. I had to explain to Pablo why it is so hard to sit in this chair. Although it was fun to be able to see everything on the table it was not much fun slipping out of the highchair.

Playing with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit me because it had been SOOO long since they last saw me at Christmas. They were surprise at how much I have grown and the new things I have been learning. I had alot of fun playing with my toys that I got for Christmas with them.
I really liked making Grandma laugh when I would stick my tongue out. I know I should not be sticking my tongue out at people. But it is one of my favorite facial expressions.
We also went to Aunt Jenna's soccer game in Savannah. Here I am with Daddy at the game, he made sure that I stayed really warm. I had so many things on I could barely move. Boy am I ready for warm weather.

Happy Mardi Gras

I would like to share with you my Mardi Gras lesson from my Momma. Mardi Gras is connected to the Catholic Church in that it is the 'farewell to flesh' or a period of feasting before the fasting of Lent. The colors of Mardi Gras are purple, green and gold. The purple represent justice, the green stands for faith and the gold signifies power. That is why we get to wear our Mardi Gras outfits today. Momma made me an original Mardi Gras Onesie just to wear for this special day. Daddy is even celebrating by wearing beads. I sure hope someday I get to go to New Orleans to visit all my cousins and go to the Mardi Gras parades with them.

Hanging out at home

My Daddy was watching TV one night and I wanted to spend time with him so I found me a nice little spot on the couch. I was having a lot of fun talking to him. My Momma thinks I look like a grown up talking because of my expressions. I don't think so though I was just babbling to my Daddy.

My Many Facial Expressions

Just a few facial expressions coming your way. To brighten your day. In every possible way. Momma and Daddy laugh at these every day.
I hope you do too and that is all I have to say.

Sit Up Straight

It is official I can now sit up on my own without any help. I accomplished this task at Mr. Mika and Mrs. Kristin's house this past Friday night. My Daddy has been saying it would happen soon and he was right. I know that it makes him proud to see me sitting up. It is alot of fun to sit up on my own. I cannot figure out why Momma and Daddy laugh every time I fall over it must be reverse psychology.

Lunch at Ms. Emilys

Today was the first time I had to have my clothes changed because I made a mess. with my lunch. My lunch today that Ms. Emily was feeding me was prunes and peas. When she wasn't looking I grabbed the bowl of peas and dumped it in my lap. I kept eating the prunes and I like peas too, I just decided it was time to play with my food. My Momma and Daddy better watch out now.

Oyster Roast + Concert = Family Fun at a Wildlife Benefit

My Momma and Daddy are really trying to culture me in South Carolina. I have officially been to two Oyster Roasts and Concerts. I am getting to experience alot of the local bands such as the Blue Dogs, Red Dog Ramblers and The Occassional Milkshake just to name a few. I even got to meet some of the band members from Hootie and the Blowfish. I am turning into a groupy even though I am fast asleep.
This gives Daddy a chance to eat oysters and Momma to enjoy her hot dog. Usually I sleep through the first few bands in my sling. I know when it is time to wake up because Daddy starts dancing with Momma and I am in the way sort of. I think it is Daddy's way of saying he wants to dance with his little girl. I love dancing with Daddy it is so much fun. He always holds me close to his chest to make sure I stay warm. After all the dancing was done we took some time out for a family picture since this was my First Wildlife Benefit. I was ready to go home at this point but Momma and Daddy would have liked to stay.

Who Do I Look Like?

My Momma and Daddy think I look like the kid in A Christmas Story.

What do you think?

Those Blue Eyes

My Daddy has blue eyes you see
Just like me
Our eyes are as blue as the sky
Even when we laugh or cry
We wouldn't have it any other way
To laugh and sing when we play
This is just one piece of the pie
That makes me sparkle in my Daddy's eye
I love to make him smile with delight
Every day and every night
It is very clear to me
The love he has for little peanut - that's me

Everything Must Be Perfect

Just like my momma I have a tendency to be a little bit obsessed about some things. My Momma likes things to be just right and as you can see here I had to make some adjustments to my dog on myExerSaucer for it to be just right.
This is currently one of my Momma and Daddy’s favorite pictures of me. So they asked me to share it with all of ya'll.
