Those Blue Eyes
Just like me
Our eyes are as blue as the sky
Even when we laugh or cry
We wouldn't have it any other way
To laugh and sing when we play
This is just one piece of the pie
That makes me sparkle in my Daddy's eye
I love to make him smile with delight
Every day and every night
It is very clear to me
The love he has for little peanut - that's me

Everything Must Be Perfect
Just like my momma I have a tendency to be a little bit obsessed about some things. My Momma likes things to be just right and as you can see here I had to make some adjustments to my dog on myExerSaucer for it to be just right. This is currently one of my Momma and Daddy’s favorite pictures of me. So they asked me to share it with all of ya'll.

Momma and the Spoon vs. Isabella's Hand
When I was at Grandma's she really enjoyed feeding me. At Grandma's I was really only eating squash and rice cereal. Grandma taught my Momma a trick about keeping my head still when we don't have my high chair and that is holding my head. When Grandma was not holding my head in place I would try to move as much as I could so she couldn't get the squash in my mouth. Momma was glad to see Daddy put my high chair together when we got home. Now it is really hard to run away from the spoon. The next phase in my learning to eat is the big battle with Momma and the Spoon.Since I have been home from Grandma's I have been exploring different foods. Some of my favorites are Ms. Emily's sweet potatoes and banana's. While learning about what foods are healthy for you like squash, sweet potatoes, rice, oatmeal and banana's, the battle began.
Momma and the Spoon vs my Hand.
Momma was trying to feed me
oatmeal and banana's for breakfast. I am not a big fan of oatmeal, Momma says it taste better with sugar on it but I am not allowed to have sugar just yet. I kept trying to get out of eating the oatmeal but it was not working. The banana's were much better than the oatmeal but Momma insisted I had to eat oatmeal too. Momma didn't realize that I was practicing ways to steal the Spoon away from her. Finally all of my practice paid off. It just took patience in waiting for the right opportunity when Momma wasn't paying as much attention to me as she should have been. That is when I WON the battle! I grabbed it right from her hand. She tried to pry my hand off of the Spoon but I wouldn't let go. I think she was tired of trying to get it from me and just gave up. Thinking that I would let her keep feeding me but she was wrong. I knew once I got my hands on the Spoon I would not have to eat anymore oatmeal. I didn't have to finish my oatmeal but I did have to go take a bath because I had oatmeal all over the place even in my ears. Santa Claus Visits Me

Momma only lets me play with my Baby Doll when she is right there with me. I think she is afraid Bailey (my dog) will try to get her. I am still trying to decide what to call my new doll. I have a some time before I get to play with her without supervision.
Christmas Presents + Bows = Rolling Over
Finally I get to see what all the hype is about with the Christmas presents. Momma, Daddy and I unwrapped all of those presents Momma was wrapping. I got a lot of new toys from Daddy and mostly clothes and girlly stuff from Momma. Daddy was having fun when we were unwrapping presents he kept putting bows on my head. It was alot of fun. When I got to Grandma and Grandpa's house there were more presents. I helped Grandma wrap her Christmas presents. My momma must have told her what a good helper I was when she was wrapping. Something extra special happened when I was helping Grandma though..I rolled over! Grandma put presents all around me so I could see the pretty bows and after a lot of trying I rolled over onto my belly. Now I have been rolling all over the place. Since I have started rolling over I realized that I can get to all of my toys with out Momma and Daddy helping me.Tuesday, December 12, 2006
My 1st
Well guess what happened this past Sunday. I finally laughed for Momma and Daddy. It happened when Momma was fixing to change my diaper. Daddy was at work. So Momma said "We are going to call Daddy and tell him to come home." Then it happened I just started laughing. Momma grabbed her phone and called Daddy so he could hear too. They both were laughing with me. It was a lot of fun. I haven't done it since that one time. I am talking a lot especially when Daddy is trying to relax and today while Momma is trying to work. It sure is fun to try out my vocal chords. I know that Santa is watching so I better behave, but Santa should know that I am watching him too.
I had my 1st taste of rice cereal this Sunday for dinner. It tasted yummy. Momma and Daddy had alot of fun feeding me. They got awfully excited about me eating rice cereal. They tell me that I will soon get to taste many different vegetables and fruits but first I have to master the rice cereal. Momma wants to make sure I taste lots of new foods so that way I won't be a picky eater like she is. I know one thing that I like that she does not like and that is my fingers. I like putting them in my mouth and chewing on them. Momma says that it is nasty but she knows it makes me happy. That is all that matters is a happy Isabella equals a happy Momma and Daddy.

Christmas Time
Christmas Time is here. I can see it all around my neighborhood. Everyone has bright lights up all over their houses. I am glad that we got our Christmas lights up and on our house. I wouldn't want to be the 1 house on my street without lights. We put up our Christmas Tree last weekend so Momma insisted that we had to get some presents wrapped and under the tree, that included me being a present.

Clemson Weekend

Baptism - November 19
I wore a 'vintage' baptism gown that my Great Grandma Sieta crocheted for my Momma on her baptism.
1st Airplane Ride to NOLA
Well it finally happened, I got to go on an airplane ride for Thanksgiving to New Orleans (NOLA). It wasn't as much fun as I thought considering I slept most of the time. Daddy was sure to get a picture of me before we took off. I did really good on the flights. That is after the 1st one I spit up all over Momma's jacket, so she decided not to fed me anymore at take off.My trip to NOLA was alot of fun. I
got to meet the rest of the Garrity Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that I had not met yet. Everyone made sure to come to Aunt Sandra's house to see me, even before they went home from work. I thought that was kind of funny. My cousin Rowan, who was the youngest Garrity cousin until I came along, kept saying "I love him." He will understand later that I am not a him. He wanted to hold me the whole time he came over to see me. Aunt Kay (his Momma) had to explain that everyone had to have a chance to hold me. Boy were there ALOT of hands to hold me. My Momma made sure that I got some floor time too because she knows how I get after a week like that. I think that I have to be held all the time and that makes for a LONG few days after a trip or visitors. That didn't make too many people happy but I know my Momma knows best.
I had my very 1st trip to the French Quarter. We had 'coffee and donuts' at Cafe Du Monde and walked around Jackson Square. Someday I will be able to enjoy this more especially when I get to blow powdered sugar on Daddy and Momma from the donuts.

Footprints in the Sand
What A Busy Week
I have had a busy week meeting lots of new people. On Tuesday night, I got to go out to eat with Momma, Daddy and the scheduler for my Daddy's project. I think we might have stayed out kind of late because when we got home I wanted to take a nap on Daddy's shoulder before going to bed. Daddy has the best shoulder for napping.
We took Abbi and Bailey to the park to run because they had way too much energy for our backyard. At the park Daddy said you girls have eyes too big for there own good. Momma had to explain that he says that because we have big eyes and when we don't have our sunglasses on we squint.
On Saturday, Aunt Pam and Jeffrey came to visit me for the day. It was the shortest visit I have ever had with someone. They were only here for 24 hours. We took them to the Farmers Market our favorite place to go on Saturdays. Jeffrey was constantly looking at all the pretty Carolina girls.

The Bumbo
The Bumbo is really cool because it helps in strengthening my stomach muscles. Since my parents got me the Bumbo they figured it would be nice to have a family picture. The only problem is that some of us didn't want to look at the camera.
While I was in my Bumbo seat I was having a lot of fun with Momma when she was singing and talking to me. I am sure glad Momma and Daddy decided to get me this Bumbo seat. It is nice to get to be sitting up instead of laying on the floor looking at the ceiling.

USMC - Keeping me warm

I was taking a nap in my pack n play while Momma was working yesterday. She must have been getting cold because she put one of her sweatshirts on me as a blanket. When I woke up it was her USMC sweatshirt. She wanted to share this with everyone especially 'uncle' Todd, I know it will make him very proud.

Fun Filled Fall Weekend
Since it is Fall we decided it was time to go to the pumpkin patch. At the pumpkin patch I was having fun right up until Momma decided it would be a good idea for me to have a picture with the big pumpkins. I was not to happy about it and I really didnt't like the people around me saying 'Aww that poor little baby.'
When we finally got home I was in a much better mood. I have really been mastering my smiling this week. I am learning lots of new things like making bubbles, sticking my tongue out, grabbing at my toys, and standing up. I know I might be little but my Daddy says I have much stronger legs than he would have imagined I would have at such a young age. I have also been working on lifting my head up when laying on my belly, but I don't like laying on my belly too much so I tend to get mad at Momma and Daddy when they decide it is time for this activity.
I got to do my very first arts & crafts project: making hand and foot prints out of plaster. I think I had much more fun than my Momma and Daddy because everytime they would put my hand in the plaster I would squeeze my hand. Then they would have to wash it off and start again. They gave up on the hand print and decided to do my feet instead. My Momma said that this is like some of the projects she does with my cousins Kalee Jo, Olivia and Aida. Maybe they will do some projects with me when I am older.

SMILES

Daddy loves it when I start smiling at him. It makes him so happy. Since I am a smart girl I know that making Daddy happy will pay off when I am older. I do not understand it yet but I have heard that I will be wrapped around Daddy's Little Finger.

Visitors, Make for a BUSY Weekend
This weekend was very special because Grandama, Grandpa Ray and Aunt Jenna came to visit me. When I woke up on Saturday morning Momma brought me downstairs and right there on the deck with Daddy was Grandpa Ray! I was excited to see him and he must have been excited too, because he took me from Momma and whisked me down to see Grandma. After showing off my bedroom to everyone it was off to the Farmers Market.Grandpa Ray pushed me in my stoller all around the Farmers Market. When we had enough of the Farmers Market we went shopping on King Street.
Aunt Jenna really liked the shopping on King Street. I am glad that someone got to enjoy it since I am only allowed to browse according to Daddy. At the bike shop I was tired of all the browsing so I just hung out with Grandma. After the bike shop we decided it was time to go and visit at home.On Sunday, I got to wear one of my church dresses. I was really excited becuase I only get to wear them on special occasions. This is actually the first time I could 'fit' into one of them. Momma said I can only wear them to church and when I get home I have to take them off and put on regular clothes. This was confusing since everything I wear are clothes -- what makes them regular? I suppose I will have to learn about that when I get older. Unfortunately this was a sad day too because Grandma, Grandpa Ray and Aunt Jenna had to leave. I made sure to get a some special time with Aunt Jenna since she really likes to shop I have to learn the ropes from her.
