Doctor Doctor give me the news

Yesterday, at Dr. Burbridge's Office I found out that I am 8 lbs and 19 inches long. He told me that I was right on target with everything I am learning. I can lift my head up when I am on my tummy and move it from side to side. I have really good neck control and I am able to lift myself up to a sitting position when someone is holding my hands. I am working on mastering my hand coordination, but this is not as easy as it seems. At my appointment I had to get my 2 month old shots which was not as bad as I thought it would be. I only screamed for a little while. I was sad after my appointment and not because of my shots, it was because that was my last appointment with Dr. Burbridge and I was his very 1st infant patient.

Just Like Daddy

Last weekend I watched the Clemson v. Boston College game with my Daddy. When we were watching the game I learned that sometimes you have to yell at the TV especially if Clemson does not win. I do not understand it yet but I am sure I will in time. This weekend when we were watching the Clemson v. Florida State game I realized that sometimes yelling at the TV helps. I managed to sweet talk my Daddy into letting me sit in 'his chair' for some of the game. I didn't get to stay up for the whole game because I had to take a bath, eat and get to bed. When I was sleeping I heard my Daddy get all excited and pumped up, so I knew that Clemson won.

Sweet Dreams...

Sometimes in the morning after Daddy leaves for work Momma lets me sleep in the bed after my 'late' morning feeding. Daddy keeps telling Momma that this is a bad habit to start but we all know how hard headed she can be at times. Momma says when we move to Charleston I cannot do this anymore so I better enjoy it.

Young and Old Cousins

Young cousins and Old Cousins are so much fun. I can't wait to play and sing with all my cousins in the sun. So far the fun has been with only two. Maybe one of them will teach me to tie my shoe.

Kalee Jo got to see me right after I was born. She was so excited to get to hold me. I hope she will work on projects with me like my Momma does. I know she will have alot of fun ideas.

Tracy 'Teeps' came to see me and spent 4 days. We had alot of fun even though she had to work while she was here. We did get to explore Greensboro when she would take an extra long lunch break. I sure hope that I am able to do that when ever I grow up.

1st Trip to Grandma and Grand Dad's

I had a very busy last 2 weeks. It started with my 1st trip to Grandma and Grand Dad's house. I had so much fun while I was there. As Grandma and Grand Dad took turns holding me I was getting used to being held. I really like that holding business all day long. However, Momma and Daddy didn't care for it too much when I go home. They said 'I was hard to deal with', whatever that means. I thought I was just fine. As you can see I was enjoying my time being held, just as much as Grandma and Grand Dad enjoyed holding me. They kind of looked like I did when I had to wear my 'Glow Worm' outfit because they were glowing the whole time they held me.
I got to take lots of naps while Grand Dad was holding me. He made sure that I was covered in my blanket at all times. We really enjoyed napping in his recliner. It was alot like when my Daddy rocks me in the glider.

One of the nights on my trip I got a little bit cold in our room. Grandma had some of my Daddy's old baby things in our room and I got to wear one of his hats to sleep. It was a little bit big for me but it sure did keep my head warm. It was a good thing that Grandma was ready for us or I might have ended up with one of Daddy's socks on my head instead.

When Daddy went to play golf with Grand Dad and Uncle Justin I got to go shopping with Momma, Grandma and Aunt Michelle. I had my very 1st shopping experience and it was much more fun than going to the grocery store with Momma. I guess this is what the girls do when the boys go play golf. I think I will learn to like shopping a lot. It makes me a little bit sleepy especially when it was time for Momma to tell Daddy about the 2 outfits that I got when I was out shopping. But he didn't seem to care.

I got to meet Great Uncle Tom and Great Aunt Carolyn when I was in Atlanta, too. We had a lot of fun visiting. It is hard to believe that I have as many Great Aunt's and Great Uncle's on my Daddy's side as I do Aunt's and Uncle's on my Momma's side. I suppose that means I am from a large family.

I sure did have fun at Grandma and Grand Dad's house. I can't wait to go visit them again soon.

Splish Splash I was takin' a bath

Splish Splash I was takin' a bath all on a Sunday night
I didn't put up too much of a fight
Because bath time was alright

My Daddy filled up my fancy tub
For a little rub a dub dub

My Momma showered me from head to toe
While Daddy took pictures for this show

Bathtime was really fun
Especially after I played in the sun

Now I know a bath is not so bad
And being squeaky clean make me glad

As you can see
Bathtime was fun for the whole family

Modeling Shoot

Recently Momma got crazy trying to take pictures of me. I honestly felt like I was in Europe on a modeling shoot. At least I am getting ready for my future now. I have to learn to work with the camera and what better time to start than now. Thankfully she got all of my good sides.

Business as usual

While I was in the hospital being held by Grandad he got a telephone call from one of his co-workers. He was so excited that he was holding me I could see him smiling from ear to ear. He told whoever he was talking to that he was holding his new granddaughter. It made me feel so good to hear the excitement in his voice. Even though he was holding me he still had to take care of some work.

Glow Worm Days

Here I am with Grandma, she keeps telling me it is not so bad to look like a Glow Worm. She says that it will make my jaundice go away. Since she is Grandma I know she is right and knows what she is talking about. It sure will be nice to have the Glow Worm away from my belly so I can move around and be more active.

7/29/06 - Birthday Surprise

Isabella Marie - 5lbs 4ozs 18" tall

Look at me and my Daddy! It is so nice to finally get to meet him. He always would talk to me when I was in Momma's belly. Especially when Momma would go for her Non-Stress Test to listen to my heart beat. He had to do it alot during those visits becuase I would be stubborn and not do what the doctors wanted. Which is why I got to meet Daddy earlier than I was supposed too.

Look at me and my Mommy smile at each other on our first morning together! Mommy sure is excited to see me. I suppose it is because she had such a hard night. I sure am glad to get to be held my Mommy. I finally get to wear my Clemson hat, I know Daddy is really proud of that.
